You don't have to do everything at once.
Start with some Easy First Steps.

Save Energy by Turning Off the Power Switch FlLIP THE SWITCH. One of the easyest ways to save energy is to turn off power when you don't need it. When you leave the room, turn off the lights. Don't leave televisions on in rooms where nobody is watching When you leave your computer, turn off the moniter.

REPLACE INCANDESCENT LIGHT BULBS with Energy Star qualified Compact Fluorescent Light bulbs (CFL). If every household in the U.S. replaced one light bulb with a CFL, it would prevent enough pollution to equal removing one million cars from the road. Lights are one of the biggest users of energy in our homes. Compact fluorescents typically last 10 times longer and use at least 2/3 less electricity.

FILL THE DISHWASHER. If you use a dishwasher, try to only run it with full loads. It takes the same amount of energy to wash half a load as it does a full one.

USE THE MICROWAVE to cook small meals. (It uses less power than an oven.)

WHEN BOILING WATER boil only the amount you may need. The water ets hot faster and uses less energy.

CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE. Keep your tires properly inflated. Tires with low pressure will decrease you gas milage.
